Louvel confident over Pogba case

Le Havre chairman Pierre Louvel is confident the club have a case against Manchester United over the transfer of Paul Pogba. The French club have also lodged complaints to Fifa over the transfers of Charles N'Zogbia to Newcastle and Matthias Lepiller to Fiorentina, where it was decided that the Italian side should pay £500,000 in compensation to cover training fees. Louvel was also confident that if United received a similar punishment as Chelsea, when the Blues were slapped with a two-year transfer embargo for the signing of Gael Kakuta from Lens, then it will be finally put a stop to smaller clubs losing their best youngsters for minimal fees. The Red Devils insist that they have done nothing wrong in bringing 16-year-old Pogba to the club and will fight any accusation from Le Havre. "The Lepiller case is a great step forward," Louvel told France Football. "About N'Zogbia, Fifa didn't make any decision and only CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sports) can decide. Sanctions"In Lepiller case, this time Fifa took sanctions. That proves the fight is not in vain. After Chelsea, if Manchester United is also sanctioned, I believe some clubs will think about (poaching young players). "We can feel both in France and Europe, a new movement is appearing and the number of clubs coming to sign players from education centres starts to decrease. Louvel did however admit that the transfer of Lepiller was different to that of Pogba. "There is a real difference between Pogba and Lepiller," he added. "Pogba had a no-hire agreement, which is a strong commitment as it is signed by the players but above all the players' parents. "If Manchester United wanted to talk with us, we would have accepted to talk. Once again, it was not a way to prevent the player from making his own choice."
