Louis van Gaal is 'garbage' according to former Barcelona star Hristo Stoichkov

In a rather surprising attack, Hristo Stoichkov has found it worthwhile to call his former manager 'garbage' without any known provocation.

For those who do not really know this player, he is a former Bulgarian International who played under Louis van Gaal at Barcelona. He has repeatedly blamed the Dutchman for ending his career at Barcelona though some would say his best days were already behind him. Probably most interesting is that he once received a lifetime ban for fighting on the pitch. Lucky for him the ban was rescinded but he ended up missing the 1986 World Cup.

One could say he is justified in calling LVG what he likes because apparently he spoke to his wife and asked how it was possible that she married Hristo Stoichkov. That is probably the greatest form of humiliation a man could have to endure but to then call such a respected individual garbage is a bit too far. As if to make matters worse, the Bulgarian went on to praise Jose Mourinho:

“ Mourinho understood everything. He knew everything about our team and the opponents.” Again the comparison between the two is really unnecessary as it creates needless friction.

It is sad that after so many years the former Bulgarian star still bears a grudge and is willing to give the world media something to talk about with very little motivation.
