Lewandowski focused on Dortmund

Robert Lewandowski has admitted he is a fan of English football but says he is focused on his club Borussia Dortmund. Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Poland striker and Sir Alex Ferguson was in the crowd at the Etihad Stadium earlier this month when Dortmund drew 1-1 with Manchester City in the Champions League. Lewandowski insists he was not even aware of Ferguson's presence and he is paying no attention to the transfer talk as he is committed to Dortmund. He said: "I didn't even know Sir Alex Ferguson was in the stands against City but it wouldn't influence me at all. I haven't got plans to change clubs. "I have a contract with Borussia and I focus on that. I focus on being at my best in every single match. I want to play the best season of my career." Lewandowski, 24, may not be thinking about a possible move at the moment but he has refused to rule out going to the Premier League at some point in the future. He said: "I haven't had the chance to play in England but, maybe, one day. What I like about British football is that it is fast and hard. For sure it would be interesting but there's no straight answer for the moment."
