Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has compared his team's intimidating midweek trip to traditional northern rivals Leeds as like a scene from the film 'Zulu'.
Twenty-one fans were arrested at the Elland Road encounter, where United won the League Cup tie 3-0, but the match was overshadowed by relentless insults aimed by both sets of fans.
"We had a lot of problems outside our hotel," said Ferguson. "There were hundreds of them. It was like that film Zulu.
"We have never had it there before but we have never stayed in the town centre in Leeds before either. Next time we will try Glasgow and get a helicopter down."
