Kuszczak Far From Happy With Fergie

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak says that he was priced out of moves to big clubs during his time at Old Trafford.

Kuszczak puts the blame firmly at Alex Ferguson's door that he could not go on and make a name for himself at a rival Premier League club, or a European side.

Kuszczak claims that there were clubs all across Europe that were interested in acquiring his services, but the price tag that was slapped on his head soon had any interested parties running.

The Polish keeper is now established as Brighton's number one keeper after spending six years in the wilderness at Old Trafford.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, he said: "For the last year, I had the chance to move to many good teams.

"I always said that I want to play, I asked for permission to leave. At United, they said they would let me go. But for five million pounds.

"Shay Given had three years on his deal at City and was sold to Villa for £2m. I had one more year at Old Trafford and they wanted £5m. This sum of money was unacceptable."
