Hands on: Kuszczak make take his uncertain Old Trafford future into his own hands

The Polish goalkeeper, who has attracted interest from Zenit St Petersberg, has had few opportunities to impress with Ben Foster above him in the pecking order and Ben Amos also developing. United have also been monitoring Villarreal goalkeeper Diego Lopez.

Kuszczak said: 'The contract at Manchester is for another three years, but I will speak to the manager about the situation, and about how he sees me in the team. I know one thing this season certainly has not been the best in my career.

'I felt disappointed that the manager did not put me in the team for certain matches, and on occasions, when I was not picked as understudy for Edwin van der Sar. We will see what will happen in the future.'
