Kevin De Bruyne aiming for Manchester United transfer?

Kevin De Bruyne was the player tipped to be the next big thing, went to Chelsea, was hardly played despite doing well and then moved to Wolfsburg. At Wolfsburg, guess what? He has become the next big thing and has a point to prove it seems.

Speaking to SportBild the player was asked about his future and was quite honest with his aims to play for a big European club like Manchester United and SportBild put the question directly to De Bruyne.

"Your consultant Patrick De Koster told us during the winter break that Europe's top clubs have you in their sights. They were PSG, Bayern and Manchester United, you have a contract with VfL until 2019. Will you leave again in the summer?"

"I'll never say that in the summer I'll go or stay. In football it wouldn't be wise. Lots kiss the badge on the jersey and say 'I'm staying'. Then they're gone. Also in football, things can go fast."

The player had previously stated "And my ambition is also to one day be at a top European club and to win as many titles as possible."

De Bruyne is clear that Manchester United, Bayern Munich and PSG would certainly be of interest to the ambitious young player and the report suggests that the deal could help Wolfsburg with their own finances and FFP if they can get a hefty transfer fee.

The 23-year-old Belgian attacking midfielder made just 3 league appearances for Chelsea before going out on loan to Genk and then Werder Bremen before making a permanent move to Wolfsburg in 2014 where he has made 37 appearances and scored 11 goals.
