Keeper confirms United interest

Aalesunds shot-stopper Anders Lindegaard has confirmed that Manchester United are one of the clubs chasing his signature.[LNB] The 26-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford over recent months, with the Red Devils known to be weighing up their goalkeeping options.[LNB]It has been reported that Sir Alex Ferguson has identified Lindegaard as a possible new recruit and has had his goalkeeping coach Eric Steele watch him in action.[LNB]The scouting missions have seen positive reviews sent back to Old Trafford, and an offer is believed to be imminent.[LNB]Lindegaard's current employers are already bracing themselves for bids in January, aware that they stand little chance of retaining the services of their number one.[LNB]The man himself has now spoken out about his future, and has revealed that United are among those monitoring his situation.[LNB]He said: "There are a lot of rumours in the press about the clubs interested in me, but some of them are actually quite accurate. And yes, it is Manchester United.[LNB]"I know there is interest from United, it is not just coming from the press."
