Manchester United even with Van Gaal on duty for his country in Brazil have been linked with a glut of talent in Europe as they look to replace retired players and add to their core squad. Another player that has been turning heads at the World Cup is Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal.

The 27-year-old currently plies his trade in Serie A for Juventus and today the Gazzetta dello Sport via The Mirror suggested that a bid should be incoming soon for the reportedly 45million Euro man. Chile have been one of the surprise packages in Brazil and are set to play Brazil in the Round of 16 on the June 28th at 5pm.

Arturo Vidal has made 95 appearances for Juventus since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011, scoring 28 goals. The midfielder has won the Serie A title with Juventus on three occasions and is known as a hard-tackling box-to-box style which has earned him the nickname Il Guerriero (“The Warrior”). In 2013 the player was rated in the Bloomberg listings as the eleventh-best footballer in Europe. That praise goes beyond being simply a combative midfielder but is more a reflection on his overall game which makes him such a complete player.

Manchester United will do well bringing him into the Premier League and he will certainly compliment their existing midfield and bring something new.
