Jones has not yet got himself on the score sheet this term even though his midfield roll allows him to get further up the field in attacks.
On Sunday at the Emirates, he had two good chances against Arsenal but could take neither of them, now he wants to work on his finishing.
Speaking to MUTV he said: "The first one was easier, I think I should have put that one away.
"The second chance was a bit more difficult. If it had been in the air for a couple more seconds, I might have got on the end of it with a cleaner connection.
"Scoring goals is probably something I need to work on. Hopefully I can get one before the end of the season."
