Javier Hernandez happy to step aside for Wayne Rooney

Javier Hernandez insists he has no problems about being elbowed out of the Manchester United line-up by Wayne Rooney for the visit to Stamford Bridge.[LNB]The Mexican scored twice in the 4-0 weekend win over Wigan and was in contention to start against Chelsea with Rooney a doubt due to fears of a possible suspension.[LNB]But after the FA let the England striker off without a ban following his elbow on Latics midfielder James McCarthy, reprieved Rooney should start alongside Dimitar Berbatov in attack forcing in-form Hernandez to sit on the bench.[LNB] Step aside: Hernandez is happy to play second fiddle to first-choice Rooney at Manchester United[LNB]However Hernandez refuses to be bothered by the prospect of being an impact substitute, supporting whatever decision his manager Sir Alex Ferguson chooses to make.[LNB]'I have no problems being on the bench. I understand that football is a team sport, not like golf or tennis,' he told The Sun.[LNB]'So you have to help your team when you play from the beginning but also when you come on from the bench.[LNB]'We are like pieces of a jigsaw and the boss decides how to use us.[LNB]'If Ferguson picks me for the starting line-up, that would be great but if not, that's fine too.'[LNB] At the double: In-form Hernandez scored twice in the 4-0 win over Wigan[LNB]The 22-year-old, who arrived at Old Trafford last summer for ?7million from Guadalajara, has been an instant hit with the club's supporters scoring 13 goals in 29 outings.[LNB]But Hernandez revealed he almost came close to quitting the game altogether during a difficult spell at his former club Chivas in 2007.[LNB]'I was depressed,' he added. 'There were many crazy ideas in my head. I doubted my ability.
