James Corden gives Man United stars an aerobics workout for Sports Relief

[LNB]He may not have got the world in motion, but funnyman James Corden is keeping Manchester United on their toes.[LNB]In character as his Gavin and Stacey alter ego Smithy, the tubby Corden was putting players through their paces by leading an aerobics class.[LNB]But rather than improve their fitness, he left stars such as Wayne Rooney and England captain Rio Ferdinand in fits of laughter. [LNB]Enlarge Game for a laugh: James Corden as Smithy puts the Manchester United team through their paces, leaving Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand in fits of giggles[LNB]The comic actor filmed the sketch for this year's Sports Relief spectacular to be aired on March 19.[LNB]Smithy puts aside his loyalty to West Ham to take charge of the Man U squad, giving players such as Michael Carrick and Wes Brown a training session they will never forget.[LNB]A sneak preview of the routine will be screened during Match of the Day Live's coverage of the Carling Cup Final tomorrow.[LNB]Other sporting figures are expected to be whipped into shape by the Billericay boy in the full sketch.[LNB]Last year Smithy gave a hilarious pep talk to the England team in a sketch for Comic Relief.[LNB] Pep talk: Smithy tries to fire up England football team stars David Beckham, Ashley Cole, David James and Peter Crouch in last year's Comic Relief sketch[LNB]Smithy ribbed the stars including David Beckham and and Peter Crouch on everything from their goal scoring celebrations to their hair cuts.[LNB]He tells striker Crouch: 'When I look at everything tells me youshould be rubbish at football - but you're brilliant because of thatrobotic dancing.'[LNB] David James is taken to task about hisever-changing hairstyle, Ashley Cole is urged to get wife Cheryl to act'like a proper footballer's wife', Frank Lampard is told to pass theball to Steven Gerrard occasionally and John Terry is ordered to stopcrying after he misses penalties.[LNB]Smithy then tells Beckham, that because he went to the same school as his little sister, they are 'practically family'.[LNB] Kiss it better: In the same hilarious sketch Smithy comforts Rio Ferdinand[LNB]The comedian has been trying to get Beckham on board again for this year's Sports Relief sketch.[LNB]The ideais believed to be based on Smithy giving the LA Galaxy/AC Milan star amassage.[LNB]Corden also revealed he's going to host the last two hours of the charity event with Davina McCall.[LNB]He will also join fun runners across the country for the Sport Relief mile.[LNB]But he admitted being unsure about his target: 'I'm going to give itmy best shot but I haven't really got an idea how long six miles is.'[LNB]Other Sport Relief highlights include special editions of Strictly Come Dancing, MasterChef and A Question of Sport Relief.[LNB] England hope and glory: O'Neill and Sir Alex Ferguoson can serve up treatRoy Keane: Stars want money and a blonde, not to play for their countryMANCHESTER UNITED FC
