We knew as soon as we scored we could get three of four.[LNB]'It was a brilliant comeback. The first half was too slow and we had to quicken up. But in the end it was comfortable.'[LNB]Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez, whose side had gone top on goal difference with a 3-1 win at Hull earlier in the day, must have been smiling as Spurs took a dramatic lead through at Old Trafford with goals from Darren Bent and Luka Modric.[LNB]But the smile was wiped off his face as Ferguson sent on Carlos Tevez at half-time and Rooney turned in a stunning world-class performance.[LNB] Something to shout about: Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand celebrates after Cristiano Ronaldo scored[LNB]'We were too slow, too casual in the first half,' said Ferguson. 'We needed to speed up in the second half and Tevez was responsible for that. He got the rest of the team playing.[LNB]'We had to get the first goal quite early. It wasn't a foregone conclusion after that by any means, but it gave us impetus.'[LNB]Ferguson also admitted United had been lucky to be awarded a penalty for their first goal, scored by Ronaldo, as goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes appeared to get a hand on the ball before colliding with Michael Carrick.[LNB]'It was a bit fortunate,' he said. 'Football is funny like that. Last week we were knocked out of the FA Cup by not getting a penalty kick.' [LNB] [LNB]
