Inter Milan have denied any contract disputes with Brazilian full-back Maicon. Comments attributed to Maicon's agent, Antonio Caliendo, claimed the player was unhappy after the club failed to fulfil their promise of a pay increase. It was also suggested Manchester United and Manchester City were waiting in the wings to sign the former Monaco star. Maicon, who has established himself as a key player at Inter since his arrival from Monaco in 2006, is under contract at Inter until June 2013 and the club insist the player has no problems at the San Siro. A club statement read: "With regards to the quotes in this morning's newspapers - quotes which Caliendo himself later denied - Inter technical director Marco Branca confirms the utmost conviction and satisfaction with Maicon's contract. "That satisfaction is mutual, both for the club and the player himself. It is understandable during the break for international duty that transfer theories can find space in the media, but the situation described in the newspapers today simply does not exist."
