Sir Alex Ferguson says Phil Jones will be out for 'a few weeks' after suffering ankle ligament damage in Manchester United's win at Arsenal on Sunday. Jones had to leave the field on a stretcher after just 15 minutes of this game at the Emirates Stadium. Jones was not the only player to come out of this encounter with war wounds, Nani, Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick all left the capital with injuries. Jones is set to learn the extent of his injuries today, Ferguson fears the defender is likely to be sidelined for "a few weeks". Nani left the Stadium wearing a protective boot on his right foot, Rooney also limped his way out and Carrick played through the pain of a hamstring strain. "It's not good news for us," said Ferguson. "I think Jones will be out for a few weeks, it's ankle ligaments. Carrick was feeling his hamstring in the second half and he just had to sit in the middle of the pitch."
