Hull on brink of £6m swoop for United striker Campbell as Spurs snub deal

Hull have agreed a £6million deal to sign Manchester United youngster Frazier Campbell. The striker spent the past season on loan at Tottenham but failed to make an impact at White Hart Lane and boss Harry Redknapp is not interested in a permanent switch. But Campbell, who helped Hull win promotion to the Barclays Premier League last year, is now ready for a return to the KC Stadium. Fulham and Stoke have both shown an interest in signing Campbell but United are now ready to finalise a deal to let him join the Tigers. A club statement read: 'Following reports in the media this weekend, the club can confirm that it has had an offer accepted by Manchester United for striker Fraizer Campbell. 'Consequently, the club has been given permission to open talks with Campbell.'
