Hughes responds to Fergie

Manchester City boss Mark Hughes does not want to be drawn into a row with derby rival Sir Alex Ferguson. The Eastlands chief has seen his club receive fresh criticism from Manchester United manager Ferguson following the publication of a poster celebrating Carlos Tevez. Argentina striker Tevez, who spent two seasons on loan at Old Trafford, joined City this summer after opting against a permanent stay with United. Ferguson has therefore been disappointed by City's poster, which had the caption 'Carlos Tevez. Welcome to Manchester', but Hughes is playing downing the significance. Upset"I'm trying not to rise to it," said the Welshman, who played under Ferguson at United. "Sometimes we have to respond because people make comments but we don't try to cultivate these situations. "He got a little upset about our poster campaign although to call it a campaign is wrong because there was only one. "It was just a bit of fun between the two sets of supporters and I think it was taken in that manner. "I didn't get too het up about it, but Sir Alex did."
