Hughes admits to Miller interest

Hibernian boss John Hughes has revealed he is considering signing ex-Celtic and Manchester United midfielder Liam Miller. Former Republic of Ireland international Miller, 28, is available for free having been without a club since leaving QPR in May. Despite the transfer window closing, Hughes has been scouring the market for out-of-contract players to bolster his squad. He said of Miller: "He's certainly one that is on the radar, that's for sure. Why am I saying that? He's one that fits the bill. The clubs he's played with tell you how good a footballer he is. "He's probably just hitting the peak of his career, being 27-28. He maybe just lost his way a little bit. But right at this moment in time, there's maybe been a wee bit of interest there and everybody's diving on it saying this is happening. "As a manager, you just have to keep out there, keep ahead of the game and if you're not seeing what's out there and seeing if you could enhance your squad by bringing one or two players to your club then you're not doing your job."
