Hernandez sees room to improve

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has a chilling warning for the Premier League - he's ready to improve again.[LNB] The Mexican is now on a well-earned break after helping his country clinch the Gold Cup last week.[LNB]Hernandez finished top scorer with seven goals, maintaining the impressive form he showed in his first season at Old Trafford.[LNB]An overall 20-goal tally was far in excess of what Sir Alex Ferguson expected from his £7million rookie and included a few notable headers.[LNB]The acrobatic effort at Stoke in October sticks in the mind, no mean feat given the man finishing it off is only 5ft 9in.[LNB]"I have been a little lucky with some of my goals," Hernandez told Inside United. "There have been a few headers in there. I work on that side of my game because I am not the tallest guy.[LNB]"I am working on all aspects of my game - speed, strength, technical ability with the ball, movement - and heading."[LNB]Such was Hernandez's brilliant form in the latter weeks of the campaign that Dimitar Berbatov could not even find a place on the bench for the Champions League final defeat to Barcelona at Wembley.[LNB]The faith in the Mexican shown by Sir Alex Ferguson is just reward for the effort put in by the 23-year-old, who was a virtual unknown when he signed for United 15 months ago.[LNB]"I only have words of thanks for Sir Alex because he has given me a lot of opportunities to play for this club, so I owe him a lot," said Hernandez.[LNB]"I am improving how I play. I am trying to be quicker with the ball, with more technique and concentration, because it is very difficult to keep the ball in this league.[LNB]"Of course, I have a lot of improving to do and I will work hard every day to achieve that."
