Dimitar Berbatov struck a first-half hat-trick as Bulgaria completed a disappointing World Cup qualification campaign amid a flood of goals in a 6-2 win against Georgia in Sofia.[LNB]Berbatov provided the warmth on a chilly night in the Bulgarian capital as the few fans who turned up to give their support at the Vasil Levski national stadium were rewarded with seven first-half goals.[LNB]Berbatov got the ball rolling after just six minutes as the hosts raced into a 4-0 lead after 35 minutes with further goals from Martin Petrov and Stanislav Angelov.[LNB]The Manchester United striker completed his hat-trick after just 38 minutes and when Petrov netted his second, after Vladimir Dvalishvili pulled one back, just before half-time the hosts were 6-1 up.[LNB]A Levan Kobiashvili penalty was the only goal of the second half with the visitors also having Levan Khmaladze sent off for a second bookable offence.
