HATCHET MAN: I'm the world's best left back, says Evra - what more incentive do Barcelona duo Messi

'We find Evra's account exaggerated and unreliable.' Those were thewords of an FA Commission given the task of investigating the Battleof Stamford Bridge last year, but they apply today to Patrice Evra's description of himself as the best left back in the world. Manchester United's Frenchman, it seems, cannot be trusted to pronounce on the  matters of the day. He is no more the world's best in his position than Chelsea's lawnmowerman,  with whom he clashed. Ashley Cole is a better defender and thatis just one example from the Premier League. Evra gets himself into some decent positions going forward and has areliable final ball. But he looks lacking in defensive strengthagainst very quick,  direct wingers. He also seems to be deprived of common sense, almost challengingBarcelona's  Lionel Messi and Thierry Henry to disprove his bold claimin the Champions League final on Wednesday. They could humiliate him then on one of the sport's biggest nights and he would have asked for it.
