Ha-Roo-Kane: Manchester United set to make summer bid for Spurs hotshot

Manchester United could look to sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane this summer to boost their striking options.

He would be a replacement for the hugely disappointing Radamel Falcao who has endured a torrid time at old Trafford during his much anticipated loan from Monaco which baring a miracle for the Colombian doesn't look as if it will be made permanent anytime soon.

United could also attempt to use the move as a chance to sell Robin Van Persie. Although the Dutchman is still seen as a somewhat key man at the club, he has suffered with injuries this season, and what with him being over thirty the club may look to get him off the wage bill.

The club have also seemed to successfully integrate inexperienced young players from their academy very well this year. After suffering an injury ravaged first half of the season Van Gaal's men deserve credit for the way they have dealt with the hurdles put in front of them and where they currently find themselves in the league.

The acquisition of Kane would provide a boost for the clubs status within the "homegrown" players rule. The young forward would join a team which already has its fair share of England internationals including Rooney, Carrick and Jones.

This would also be welcome news for England as a whole with the aforementioned players having the chance to learn and develop each others game while at the same time creating a greater bond within the ranks.

It remains to be seen exactly who Van Gaal chooses to bring in but on current form Kane would certainly fit the bill.
