AC Milan have reportedly joined the race for Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic. Real Madrid have been tracking the big Serbian and he could be set for a £20m summer move, but now the Rossoneri could try to tempt the Reds with a cash-plus-player deal, using their Dutch striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar, say the Sun. Ferguson has already moved to strengthen his central defence with the £10m signing of Chris Smalling from Fulham. Vidic did not play in January at all because of a series of niggling injuries.
