10) Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (Molde to Manchester United for £1.5m)

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spent 5 years at Norwegian third division side Clausenengen where he averaged over a goal a game, scoring 115 goals in 109 games. At the age of 22 he made a move to Molde for NOK 200,000 and spent one season in the Norwegian first division and scored 31 times in 38 appearances. There was a huge number of clubs after him including Everton, Hamburg, Cagliari and Manchester City but the team that won his signature was his boyhood club Manchester United. This transfer isn’t on this list because they sold him on for a ridiculously high amount but because of what he did in his time at Manchester United. He was known as the original super sub, a reference to his last minute goals, Solskjaer came off the bench to score a stoppage-time winner against Bayern Munich in the 1999 Champions League Final. After he retired in 2007 he tried his hand at managing. He has managed two teams, Molde, were he is regarded as a legend, and Cardiff where he is regarded at the worst manager to ever take the ropes at the Bluebirds in recent times, permanently tainting his name in the coaching world. He is currently a free agent but has been linked to the MLS.
