Foster in the shade as United plot summer swoop for Italy star Buffon
Manchester United have targeted Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon as a summer transfer, according to reports in Italy.
At 31 Buffon, rated by many as the best 'keeper in the world and a former Manchester City target, is seven years younger than Edwin van der Sar.
Silvano Martina, Buffon's agent, said the World Cup winner could move for the right price - and a swansong in the Barclays Premier League may be on the cards.
