Former Manchester United midfielder Kenny Morgans has died at the age of 73, the club have confirmed. Morgans, a survivor of the United team involved in the infamous Munich air disaster in 1958, was taken ill on Saturday evening and passed away in hospital. The Welshman made a full recovery from his injuries sustained in Germany and resumed his playing career, where he swapped Old Trafford for Swansea in 1961 having made 23 first-team appearances for the Red Devils. He spent the rest of his career in his native Wales and joined Newport County in 1964 before retiring three years later. He did return to United for their 50th anniversary of the Munich tragedy four years ago and was the guest of honour at an Association of Former Manchester United Players dinner.
