Finally, the glory days are back at Old Trafford

After two seasons of struggle, of plight and disgruntled fans, it finally looks like Manchester United are back at their best. Back at the summit of English football and looking a lot like they will stay there.

Tottenham Hotspur’s mauling of Manchester City paved the way for the Red Devils to take lead in the Premier League. A role they take on deservedly based on their recent form. The season’s outlook has changed markedly with the arrival of Anthony Martial. The team is now collectively more potent and prolific with their forward play whilst a fairly stable rear-guard bolstered by David de Gea seems a match for any opponent.

It is probably premature to conclude that Manchester United will actually end up being Champions this season but with the failings of the other teams, one is forced to conclude that should the squad remain fit, they will certainly be in the thick of the title challenge.Spare a thought for those who doubted Louis van Gaal’s philosophy. He seems to have delivered his message and it certainly looks like the perfect propellant to the former glory days.
