Fever pitch: Wenger demands fans make the Emirates a cauldron of noise

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger wants the Emirates at fever pitch for tonight's Champions League semi-final second leg battle with rivals Manchester United, urging the club's supporters to inspire them to victory. Needing to overturn a 1-0 deficit after losing at Old Trafford in the first leg a week ago, Wenger has called on the club's notoriously quiet fans to create a cauldron of noise in order to create a hostile atmosphere for Sir Alex Ferguson's visitors as he looks to ensure the club's passage Rome. The fans will be vital,' Wenger told London's Evening Standard. 'The atmosphere at Old Trafford was one of the loudest I have heardbecause Champions League semi-finals are the most important games foreverybody as you're only 90 minutes from the final.
