Manchester United target Pedro has told Barcelona he wants to leave the European champions, according to technical secretary Robert Fernandez.

United have been heavily linked with a move for the Spain international as they look to replace Angel di Maria, who joined Paris St Germain for £44.3million last week.

And it was revealed on Tuesday night that 28-year-old Pedro has said he wants to quit the Nou Camp.

Barca technical secretary Fernandez told Esport 3: "Pedro has told me he wants to go."

Fernandez also admitted that Tuesday's night's UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla could be Pedro's last in Barcelona colours, adding : "The buy-out clause in Pedro's contract is not negotiable but this could be his final game."
