Fergie To Relish Challenge

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is looking forward to the battle at the top of the league and he says his side will thrive on being up there.

United romped to a 2-0 victory against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Sunday which made sure that league leaders Man City had the pressure on them to beat Arsenal at home, which they did.

But Fergie is certain that the pressure will remain firmly on Mancini and City’s attempt to buy the league.

United’a win means they are now unbeaten in eight league games and are just waiting until City slip up again.

"The important thing is to be there (near the top) on New Year's Day," Ferguson said.

"If you're involved right at the top part then you know the second half of the season, we'll relish that."
