Sir Alex Ferguson hopes Manchester United's 'intense and efficient preparation' will ensure they dispose of Inter Milan in the last-16 of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday. The Red Devils' tie with Inter is delicately poised after the first leg at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza ended in a 0-0 stalemate, despite the visitors creating numerous goalscoring chances. United were in a similar situation last season against Barcelona, but at the semi-final stage, and on that occasion a Paul Scholes strike ensured progression for the Premier League champions at Old Trafford Ferguson told Gazzetta dello Sport: "In the build-up to a match against Jose (Mourinho) I have to expect everything from him. But we are preparing in the same way as after the 0-0 in the Nou Camp. "An intense and efficient preparation, which worked very well. "We controlled them well in Milan - Inter only had a couple of half-chances in the second half. My players played with an incredible level of concentration. They have to do the same in the return leg."
