Fergie hits out at 'dinosaur' Calderon

Sir Alex Ferguson has launched a fresh attack on former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon over his pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo.Calderon reignited rumours the Manchester United winger was set to move to the Spanish capital last week when he declared a deal was already in place thanks to the groundwork he himself had put in before he left. The 57-year-old did not mention any names but stated that one of the world's best players would be arriving at the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.Calderon resigned from his post at the Spanish champions in January after allegations that he helped rig votes over the team's proposed budget.Talk of Ronaldo moving to Real is nothing new and Ferguson has again come out and rejected claims that the winger is set to leave at the end of the season."All the talk about Cristiano was coming from Calderon," the United boss told the Sunday Express."He is a dinosaur. He has been buried."He is just trying to cause trouble isn't he? He is just trying to cause trouble for the new president. It's him saying, 'it's up to you to deliver now'."You are never going to stop this game. It's going to go on and on. But we're happy with our end of things with Cristiano."The Scot is confident the current World Player of the Year would be a United player next term after revealing his agent Jorge Mendes is very much onside."It's certainly not the agent causing problems. He definitely wants him to stay here."[LNB]
