Fergie dismisses goalie gaffes and insists: Foster is still No1

Manchester United's under-pressure goalkeeper Ben Foster will keep his place at former club Stoke but manager Sir Alex Ferguson was uncomfortable discussing the England player's worrying form.[LNB] Foster will play because No 1 goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar remains three weeks away from a return and Poland's Tomasz Kuszczak is not considered good enough.[LNB] Under pressure: Manchester City's Carlos Tevez steals the ball from goalkeeper Ben Foster to set up team-mate Gareth Barry to score during the Manchester derby[LNB] But Foster will be put under pressure by Stoke's direct football after making two errors in last Sunday's derby against Manchester City and one against Arsenal last month.[LNB] Ferguson was asked about Foster and he suggested that the 26-year-old will recover from his early-season problems. [LNB]But it all got a bit much for the United boss when he was asked about communication problems between his goalkeeper and the central defenders.[LNB] Ferguson snapped: 'I'm not getting into the City game, I'm not getting into that at all, right? I've answered the question, he's playing tomorrow. I'm not worried about it at all.[LNB] 'Foster is showing great qualities,' added Ferguson, without saying what they were.[LNB] 'We are not worrying about the odd mistake - young players make them all the time - and he's not had a great deal of game experience. I've not got a problem with the boy.'
