Fergie defends Utd dealings
Sir Alex Ferguson has vehemently defended Manchester United's stance over signing young players from abroad.
Following Chelsea's Fifa ban for allegedly tapping up Lens starlet Gael Kakuta, United have become embroiled in the issue in the wake of accusations from clubs on the continent.
Le Havre have vented their anger at United over their signing of Paul Pogba, and have claimed that the English champions broke rules to land him.
Meanwhile, Italian club Fiorentina have made contact with Fifa about United's signing of Italian youth captain Michele Fornasier.
But United boss Ferguson insists that the Red Devils have been dragged into the issue because of who they are.
"They are always going to bring Manchester United into it, because we are the biggest club, without any foundation or knowledge on the situation and there has been a lot of jumping on the bandwagon," Ferguson told Sky Sports News.
Ferguson insisted that United have never offered incentives to parents in order to attract young players to sign.
"I can assure you that Manchester United have behaved absolutely correctly with all their dealings with young players and their parents," he continued, also insisting that Le Havre will have to answer for their accusations.
"There has never been a case ever that we pay the parents, it would be crazy to even contemplate that, because it would be the biggest headache you could have.
"This was levelled by a frustrated director at the French club and he is now going to have to retract, we do it impeccably.
"What other clubs do is subject to a lot of controversy, but we are confident of our own club."
