Catania general manager Pietro Lo Monaco claims Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is a fan of Japanese striker Takayuki Morimoto. Although the promising marksman is yet to play for his country he is regarded as one of the best young players in Serie A. AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato recently compared the 21-year-old to Brazilian legend Ronaldo. Lo Monaco has hinted the club will cash in on Morimoto next summer and that they have already fielded offers from England and France for the youngster. United have been linked with the former Tokyo Verdy striker and Lo Monaco feels they could make their move once the auction begins. "We'll transfer him to a big club at the end of the season," Lo Monaco told Asahi Shimbun. "We, only a small club, can do nothing more for him. "We've already received important offers from England and France this summer as well. "Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson also highly rates him."
