Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson says Rio Ferdinand will be fit to start Wednesday's Champions League final against Barcelona in Rome. Ferdinand has been out with a calf injury for the last fortnight and he played no part in United's 1-0 win over Hull City yesterday. But Ferguson is confident the England defender will be ready to face Barcelona. 'Rio is coming along fine,' he told MUTV. 'He trained on Saturdayand today with the other players who were also training. I think he'son course to play on Wednesday.' Ferguson also reckons Rafael and Wes Brown will be fit despite both picking up minor knocks in the 1-0 win at the KC Stadium. 'I took Rafael off [as a precaution] and we'll get him checked on Monday, but hopefully he'll be okay,' said Ferguson. 'Wes got a little knock, but given that it was his first game backafter so long out we're thankful he's come through well overall.'
