Fearless Neville proves he's a true blue after famous Everton win

There was a certain irony about Gary Neville sitting glumly on the sidelines, unable to influence the outcome, while brother Phil stepped forward to plant a telling penalty past Ben Foster in Everton's FA Cup semi-final shootout triumph at Wembley. Phil was the one who raised eyebrows four years ago after concluding his interests may be better served away from Old Trafford. Undeterred by Gary's steadfast wish to remain a one-club man, the younger Neville pitched up along the road at Everton in a £3.5million move that was widely expected to push him even further into his illustrious brother's shadow. Gary may yet finish this season with the more impressive medal haul but, for a few moments in the Wembley sunshine on Sunday, it was redemption time for Neville Jnr.
