Manchester United veteran Gary Neville is being considered for his first England appearance in nearly three years against Brazil later this month. [LNB]England manager Fabio Capello is looking at Neville and United team-mate Wes Brown to fill the problem right-back position if first-choice Glen Johnson of Liverpool fails to recover from injury in time for the friendly in Doha on November 14. [LNB]Capello is alarmed at the lack of cover at right-back and has even been forced to use winger Shaun Wright-Phillips there in recent England training sessions. [LNB] Give us a hand: Neville is on Capello's radar[LNB] Neville, 34, has suffered a catalogue of injuries since winning his 85th England cap in February 2007 but has returned strongly this season. And club manager Sir Alex Ferguson thinks it is wise for Capello to consider his World Cup prospects. Ferguson said:[LNB] 'I am not surprised at all. He [Capello] has not got great options at right-back. Gary offers experience and his quality has not been diminished.[LNB] 'His performance level has been very good when he's come into the team. He has not lost momentum, rhythm or energy. [LNB]'He has had a hard time in the last three years with injuries. He has survived because he is Gary Neville. He has a great desire to carry on.' [LNB]Neville has impressed for United after missing nearly two years with an ankle and other muscular injuries. He was suspended for last night's game but is set to face CSKA Moscow at Old Trafford on Tuesday when United could book their Champions League knockout place. [LNB]Neville, who has been named by Capello in one squad this season, is set to be joined for the Brazil trip by uncapped Sunderland defender Andy Turner as Capello assesses his options at centre-half. [LNB]But the England boss faces a quandary over goalkeeper Ben Foster, who has lost his first team place at United to Edwin van der Sar and is likely to find his playing opportunities limited.
