Evra Stayed At Old Trafford Because Of Fergie

According to the Sun newspaper, Sir Alex Ferguson changed Patrice Evra's mind for him when the 30 year old wanted to quit life at Old Trafford. A short while later and Evra is glad that he had that chat with the United boss as he helps win their 19th title. And Evra now has a Champion’s League final to look forward too at the weekend, something he would not have been experiencing if he had gone to Real Madrid or Inter Milan. Evra said to the newspaper: "I had thought about leaving last summer for family reasons but something changed my mind late on. "There were clubs interested like Real Madrid and Inter Milan. "But the manager visited me at my home to persuade me to stay. "I know my heart has made the right decision. When Sir Alex talks, it's a good idea to listen!" The Frenchman ended up signing a contract extension in February that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2014. Like us on FACEBOOK
