Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o is determined to rewrite the history books before Manchester United. A United victory in the Champions League final would be the first time a team has defended the title in its current format while Barca could become the first Spanish side to win the treble after lifting the Spanish League and Cup. 'We have the opportunity to rewrite the Spanish football history books and that's what is important,' Eto'o told Barca TV. 'That should be our motivation. To win it not just for our fans but for the fans of Spanish football. With that to drive us forward, we shouldn't lose.' Neutrals are anticipating a feast of attacking football in Rome but Eto'o insists the result is all that matters. He added: 'We have to make sure it is a perfect final, especially for us. And it's only a perfect final if you win it! We know it's going to be tough but we'll give it everything.'
