Hopes dashed: Ledley King[LNB]England manager Fabio Capello has ruled out Tottenham defender Ledley King from his World Cup plans.[LNB]The Spurs skipper has emerged as a shock contender for an England recall thanks to a number of vintage displays at the heart of his side's back four during the opening months of the season.[LNB]Due to long-standing knee problems King cannot train as regularly as his White Hart Lane team mates - and is sometimes restricted to just session a week. [LNB]And Capello says the 29-year-old's inability to participate in regular training sessions means he cannot afford to include him on the plane to South Africa next summer.[LNB]The England boss said: 'It is impossible for him to stay with us. Sometimes he trains Friday to play Saturday.'[LNB]Capello has also cast doubt over the World Cup places of King's fellow central-defender Rio Ferdinand and and goalkeeper David James.[LNB]The Italian has insisted he will not be taking players who have any fitness doubts, news which will leave Manchester United man Ferdinand, who is currently out with a back injury, and James sweating.[LNB]Capello said: 'The players with us in South Africa will be all fit. It's impossible to wait for one player. [LNB]'Little things are okay, butbigger problems and they will not be there.[LNB] Doubts: Rio Ferdinand and David James[LNB]'If you have to wait for someone to recover it's no good. When we go it will not bethe warm season, when it is easier to recover. It will be cold in SouthAfrica. [LNB]'If Rio plays the games before the last squad, for me he is fit andwill go to the World Cup.[LNB]'Rio is absolutely one of thebest center-backs in the world. He needs to be really fit but he hassome problems with the back. He has to train more.'[LNB]As for Portsmouth keeper James - who has to rest his knees after matches - Capello added: 'He's playing well but his problem he can't train for two days after each game.[LNB]'It's one problem we have to decide. I'm happy because (Ben) Foster played well and (Robert) Green plays well.'[LNB] EXCLUSIVE: England boss Capello ends Michael Owen's World Cup dream When Ab met Fab...
