It's the sight Manchester United fans will not want to see... but Cristiano Ronaldo insists he will be fully fit to face up to Lionel Messi tonight. It's the right foot Ronaldo uses for those wicked swerving free-kicks that is being strapped here by United physio Rob Swire, but he is expected to play through the middle as United's spearhead against a Barcelona back four without three regulars. Ronaldo, speaking in the build-up to the long-awaited final, said: 'I respect Barcelona and they are a great team. But I think we are better and in this game we will prove it. 'I like the Spanish league but I feel well in England in the Premier League, it is the strongest league. 'I respect Barcelona profoundly. Messi is playing marvellously well. I want to be sincere. I have to play well tomorrow for the team and the supporters. I look forward to it and I think it will be really special. 'I don't care about the Ballon D'or. What I want more is to win the Champions League. That's it. I just want to be the first team in history to win it twice.' Key defender Nemanja Vidic needed treatment on a hamstring, but is expected to play, Rio Ferdinand has been passed fit and Ryan Giggs is thought to be in line for a start.
