The Manchester United target took to twitter to favourite a tweet which linked him with a move to Old Trafford which has led to a reports to suggesting this could be a hint that a move could be on.
The 21-year-old Dutch international will be familiar with his old national coach Louis van Gaal but the Red Devils will have competition from Spurs who attempted to lure the player to White Hart Lane in the Summer. United though would be favourites especially after the player seemingly ‘favouriting’ its mention on twitter. It is claimed that £19.7million will be required to bring Memphis Depay to Old Trafford but that may yet rise with interest from Tottenham.
Social media isn't always the best medium to articulate a wish to be somewhere else and interaction with twitter or Instagram can backfire which has happened with Messi with regard rumours surrounding his future.
PSV are resigned to losing their winger who has been in sensational form in the Eredivisie this term. Manager Cocu told Russia’s Sport Express that PSV should be proud of the interest in their starlet:
"That's unfortunate, but on the other hand, we must as a club be proud because we have trained him.
"At some point, it becomes clear that he is ready for the next step. And yes, I think he's going to leave PSV after this season."
