Dutch midfield enforcer Nigel de Jong believes Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is the right man to bring success to the Eastlands outfit. The Blues are hoping to put the Abu Dhabi United Group's considerable wealth to good use in the coming years as they attempt to become a dominant force in world football. They have aspirations of becoming Premier League title challengers and a regular fixture in the Champions League.Big-money acquisitions such as Robinho have helped to raise the profile of the club, with Eastlands expected to be a hotbed of transfer activity once again this summer.De Jong is optimistic about City's future and is confident Hughes can usher in an exciting new era for the club."I like playing for this manager. He has given me a lot of confidence since he brought me over to Manchester City," he told Sky Sports News."He said he likes a player like me for my defensive qualities in the midfield. I am happy to play at Manchester City and I hope we can be successful."He knows how it is with big clubs so he will try and put his vision on this team, to become a good team."He is being given time to build a good team. I hope with his experience and his abilities we can drive forward and become successful in the future."De Jong has made an instant impact in England since completing a January switch from Hamburg, and he feels playing in the Premier League will only help to improve him further in the future."You go from Germany to England and it is a stronger league," he said."I have to develop my game further. I am still only 24-years-old, so I have a few years to improve."[LNB]
