Cristiano Ronaldo may have left for pastures new, but his years at Manchester United will never be forgotten by the club's supporters - and he has now won a fans' Goal of the Decade competition.

Ronaldo's magnificent strike against Porto in last season's European Cup quarter-finals was voted the best United goal from the past ten years.

Wayne Rooney finished in runners-up spot for his splendid volley against Newcastle in 2005.

Ronaldo is in fifth spot in the poll, as voted for by readers of United's official magazine and website, with his wonderful free-kick against Portsmouth two years ago.

The Portuguese star left United for Real Madrid last summer after six memorable seasons in the north-west.

Ronaldo helped United to three successive Premier League titles, and a famous European Cup triumph in Moscow.
