Cristiano Ronaldo dismisses Real Madrid link ahead of Man UtdPorto clash

Reports over the weekend claimed the Portugal forward had agreed a secret deal with the Spanish giants that would see him leave Old Trafford for the Bernabeu at the end of this season in a £75 million transfer. United privately dismissed the speculation as further attempts by Real to unsettle the 24-year-old following their failed attempt to sign him last July. But Ronaldo, who has issued contradictory statements on his United future in the past, said he has no ambition to leave the English and European champions, when asked to clarify his intentions. "Always this question," Ronaldo said. "I am happy at this club and I think this is the right club for me. "We are in a good moment now. We are on top of the league and we have everything to win again, so we are in a good way." Rio Ferdinand has been ruled out of the first leg against Porto but the holders welcome the return of Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes and Nemanja Vidic from suspension. Ferdinand missed Sunday's dramatic 3-2 Premier League win over Aston Villa with a groin injury and he has failed to recover for the Old Trafford match tomorrow. But United's shaky defence will be bolstered by the return of Vidic, who was missing yesterday following his sending-off against Liverpool two weeks ago. Up front, Sir Alex Ferguson's options have widened with the return of Rooney and Scholes, while Federico Macheda, the 17-year-old debutant match-winner against Villa, will be part of the squad. Man Utd (from): Van der Sar, Foster, Kuszczak, O'Shea, Neville, Vidic, Evans, Ferdinand, Evra, Eckersley, Ronaldo, Nani, Fletcher, Gibson, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs, Park, Rooney, Tevez, Welbeck, Macheda.
