Crawley boss Steve Evans: 'We want Man United rematch'

Crawley Town may have been denied a deserved replay but manager Steve Evans hopes the non-league club's display at Old Trafford could yet earn them a rematch with Sir Alex Ferguson's side this summer. [LNB]Evans was so overwhelmed by the effort of Crawley's players and supporters that he was in tears before heading off to share a bottle of wine with his fellow Glaswegian. [LNB]That his overriding emotion was disappointment, however, showed just how close the Blue Square Premier League club came to a famous result. [LNB] Steve Evans salutes the thousands of Crawley fans who made the trip to Manchester[LNB] He said: 'I made the ultimate call that we would come here and have a real go. [LNB]'People thought it was madness, but you look at the team United had on at the end - Rooney, Fletcher and Smalling - and they still had their backs to the wall for the last 20 minutes. [LNB]'Sir Alex said that with the quality of the football we play, he'd try to help us along. We'd love a Manchester United team to come and play us.'
