Manchester United are considering a move for new Colombia international midfielder Juan Fernando Quintero.

The 20-year-old was watched by United during the South America U20 Championships in January when he lead his country to the title and finished second top scorer with five goals.

Quintero, known as a goal scoring playmaker, is on loan at Italian side Pescara, where he has made 14 league appearances and scored one goal.

Quintero had only ever played in the Columbian leagues before joining Pescara on loan.

Playing Style

Quintero is well known for his creativity for playmaking. His ball control and dribbling has stood him out from most players. His young age and free kicks are also high attributes and it is clear that he is going an exciting prospect. Left footed, Quintero is sometimes considered to be another James Rodríguez due to their similar traits although Rodriguez plays more of a forward midfielder/winger whereas Quintero plays more in a neutral mid-centre position.
