Costa price too high - agent

Manchester United are unlikely to meet Gremio's asking price for Douglas Costa, according to the player's agent. The highly-rated Brazilian is believed to be a target for United, as the Premier League champions eye a replacement for Real Madrid-bound Cristiano Ronaldo. Costa's representative, Cesar Bottega, claims "informal talks" have been held but feels Gremio could price the 18-year-old out of a deal. "I don't believe that they (Manchester United) will reach this figure," Bottega told Porto Alegre newspaper Zero Hora. "Right now, an offer might come in at a maximum of £6.7million. But this would not be enough for [Gremio] president Duda Kroeff." Brazilian club Gremio are believed to be holding out for a fee in the region of £20million.
