Chris Smalling signs new five-year deal with Manchester United
[LNB]Defender Chris Smalling has signed a new five-year contract with Manchester United.[LNB]The improved contract is recognition of the 21-year-old's outstanding debut season, when he made 34 appearances and far exceeded the expectations of Sir Alex Ferguson following a ?7million summer move from Fulham.[LNB]It was enough to secure him a first Premier League title medal.[LNB] New deal: Chris Smalling has committed his long-term future to Manchester United[LNB]'I am delighted Chris has signed a new contract,' said United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
